ABOUT THE ARTIST!
Flash O' Boy
With paint, markers, pens, wire, cinnamon, glitter and many miscellaneous apparatus I share my world with others through my art. I am a City College Alum with a B.A. in philosophy. I have been digging in to my artistry since '93. I am a Caribbean American from Brooklyn who has been blessed to display art within all the boroughs of NY. From curating art shows, painting murals, and putting together projects I have been able to express my art in numerous ways and mediums. I am also part of an Art collective called Bare Canvas Sounds. I am also a music collector. I have an affinity for living creatures and organisms since they are the essence of nature i communicate my art by capturing them in moments to highlight many humanistic qualities. My comprehension of colors have lead me to believe every color is special and i strive to show how colors can communicate exactly how you feel.

THE AMBROSIAL INDIVIDUAL

I was blessed to get together with Trevon Reffell (who was the photographer) and Tai who was the Muse for the shoot.
Using Blues and Pinks and Purples we displayed my art on to the Muse. We were able to communicate her in to something special.
Ambrosial has the Greek etymology of meaning "Worthy of Gods/Divine"

EPIC ART PARTY: VANILLA
January 19 2020
In the 2020 installment of Epic Art Party I got together with my crew Bare Canvas Sounds
and some spectacular artists to go all out and transform a 3 room space with Art and ice cream.
As a Team we built and painted a wooden installation standing at 8 ft by 10 ft. The installation was the representation of an Ice cream Truck that guests were able to be used as an interactive backdrop for photos. we had an awesome time !
This installment was to channel the energy of receiving the treats of life. We treated our guests to not only ice cream but event buttons, stickers, libations and special tea/coffee mugs.
the Event took place at the Absurd Conclave in Brooklyn.

RHYME AND RESIN!
March 2018 - ongoing
I have been blessed in my journey as an artist to meet new encounters and allow their journey to diversify mine and vice versa. I ventured in to a something a bit messy but precious. I started to experiment with resin! Resin is a chemical made with the polymerization of 2 other chemicals. ( I know sounds like chemistry)
However with patience, good molding and resourcefulness I was able to get a rhythm going producing some gems.

EPIC ART PARTY; EPIC TEA PARTY
January 14 2018
This installment of the branded event Epic Art Party was in the form of a tea party!
Riddled in an alice tea picnic theme, Bare Canvas Sounds and I prepare a great art show with a great sip of tea.
The installations, decor, and curation was handled by me and few amazing helpers while Bare Canvas sounds curated the sounds and lights.
Taking place at basement 29 in Bushwick, we had the opportunity to transform the same space in to something totally different for the attendees.
It was an amazing night. The Tea was purchased via @TheBushwickGrind. a Black owned Coffee shop with very delectable treats and teas.
We sipped on Organic Teas and Tisanes made from China and Africa.

POP-OUT GALLERY

The Pop Out Gallery was an Anime inspired gallery bonanza curated by Darius Hoyt "The Contro1freak" and I.
the beautiful show featured artists with anime inspired pieces through digital, comic book and canvas art. Being able to display art work on 20+ computer monitors was an amazing experience!

"AINT I A WOMAN"
August 4, 2017
The "Aint I A Woman" Project is a project that involve tackling the identity of woman and the role that woman take willingly or unwillingly in society.
This project is the Artist Nicole Goodwin's ongoing city wide performance. I was blessed to have been the participant of her Harlem performance.
By way of body paint I was asked to express through art "what it means to be a woman?"
and it was to be painted live on 125th street during peak rush hours. The Performance was powerful with many breaks, many hinderances, but the power to overcome it all as Nicole did.

ELEMENTAL SENTIMENTS
May- June 2017
Elemental Sentiments is a collaborative art thesis that communicates emotion through the basic elements of the Earth. Through the use of body paint we explore these emotions by painting and adorning lovely Plus-Size models to characterize elements and their sentiments. Each Element has its own properties. Its up to us on how we utilize and learn to gain wisdom from these teachers we call elements.

EPIC ART PARTY NOIRE

The Epic Art Party is a series of Events put together by the Art Group Bare Canvas Sounds.
As a member of Bare Canvas Sounds I curate the Art and decorum for the event. While sonically they curate the sounds. We execute these event with art, music and video games and cereal!. it encompasses the group (BCS) niches and crafts.
We have executed them in different venus/spaces.
Epic Art Party Noire was the 4th one executed.
The theme was "The New Black Renaissance ." Drenched in red light guests People from near and far came to enjoy the music and also to watch the premiere of Musical Talent Artist Lono Bristol
